Continuing on with the 2010 Catch-up....In July, my mother-in-law came to visit us in Wisconsin. Since we had already done every brewery tour (multiple times) and been to the lakefront (multiple times), we decided to go on a new adventure and visit the capital of Wisconsin. Our first stop was lunch at Smoky Jon's BBQ. It's a tiny little place that doesn't look all that grande from the outside, but the BBQ and sugar fried biscuits were amazing! We then went on to visit the Henry Vilas Zoo, the Olbrich Botanical Gardens, and the Capitol Building. The zoo was a bit disappointing as it was small, extremely crowded and very hot. But I would definately visit the Capitol and Olbrich again. Both are wonderful (FREE!) resources. I would visit frequently if they were closer.
